Somewhere Off The Irish Coast
This was taken in the 70's I think. I used a half filter on the lens so there are no Photoshop effects here. What you see is what there is. I can't remember where it was taken but it looks a lot like the west coast of Ireland. Nikon F2. Best camera I ever had, and still have.

One Of The ' Chefs Des Pyramide' Egypt.
The pyramids were not very far from where we lived in Cairo. It was about a ten minute drive from the flat to Giza. At that time the place was overrun with fellas like this who would not leave you alone. The would insist that they were the head pyramid guides and demanded a fee for showing you around whether or not you wanted to be shown around. They were unrelenting and very , very annoying. We eventually got fluent enough in Arabic to tell them to go F*#@ themselves. That certainly took them by surprise. In the end they stopped bothering us. New laws in Egypt now prevents this kind of exploitation of tourists in general and this type of activity is now against the law.
In a way it added a little color to the place but it was too much and too aggressive. They got very greedy for baksheesh.
Sphinx Cairo Egypt
This was taken with my lifelong friend Bernard Brazier. We were great snobs in those day and would never allow ourselves to be photographed in front of any of the landmarks of the countries we worked in ( Pyramids / Corcovado/ etc. because we considered ourselves 'photographers' and not tourists. The arrogance of youth and ignorance. Needless to say we have been kicking ourselves in the backside ever since.
Carnival Brazil
The outlandish costume of the transvestite who obviously loved to be photographed contrast greatly with the indifference of the lady sitting down. This was taken at carnival time in Salvador Brazil. The participants love to have their photo taken.
